We have had the odd snow flake, here in Northumberland.
With food scarce in the natural world, it's best to provide a little help, but my cupboard was bare.
So my wild life trip today was a walk across town to buy some seed, on the way picking up some nice views of mostly common birds on other people feeders.
20 gold finches on a feeder, in a terraced garden, next to a busy road. The parakeet which haunts peoples park, I still only see, once in a while. Also in the park (a large field containing football pitches, bordered with deciduous trees), small flocks of finches and tits working the trees.
Oh SNOW CLEARING made easy, just add bread (see below)
